Our home inspection team is led by William, a trained building inspector with 30+ years of experience in the field. William is a very meticulous professional with thorough knowledge of residential and commercial properties and is proud to head one of the most versatile building inspection companies in Auckland Inspect a Home.
William has also worked as a Senior Quantity/Building Surveyor and Estimator for years. As such, he is aware of the costs involved with building, repairing faulty materials and workmanship, remediations, and maintaining of a property. William can give you a good idea of how much you can expect to pay to rectify any existing defects and make any needed replacements.
William trained as a building inspector/building surveyor from 1984 – 1987.

William clearly knows what he’s doing and has in-depth knowledge of his profession. He potentially saved us from future costs of around $50K–$70K by identifying a high risk of water leakage through a retaining wall. He’s approachable, takes the time to listen to concerns, and explains everything clearly and patiently. He also provided a practical plan for maintaining and caring for our new home. Communication from Jenny when booking the inspection was excellent—quick and professional. Highly recommended.

We used William and Jenny for a building inspection as first time buyers. We went for the combination of the verbal report and the full written report and were very impressed. Being able to walk around the property with William was incredibly useful, especially early on in our journey to get a feel for what to look for, but also to put the written report into context. William and Jenny are professional, knowledgeable and very thorough. Their knowledge of building regulations, and weather-tightness especially, was evident throughout the inspection alongside being able to discuss findings as part of the house as a whole.
The service was prompt, and the final building report was thorough and easy to navigate.

To walk alongside him for 2-3 hours while he inspects the property and explains not only what the issues are but what to do to fix them was invaluable and provided us with some knowledge and skills moving forward. Would give more stars if we could! Explained everything in detail and made sure we understood what we would get ourselves into if we purchased the property. As first home buyers it’s quite daunting when trying to buy a home, but William made us feel at ease due to his expertise re buildings and construction.
